Why Send Out an Email Newsletter?

Why send out an email newsletter? Good question! There are plenty of reasons, but here are the top 3...

Why Send Out an Email Newsletter?

1. Stay "Top of Mind"People will forget you, your business and your website. It's a cold hard fact, but it's true. By sending out a regular email newsletter to your past customers and website visitors who have asked to subscribe, you'll stay "top of mind" to your subscribers, continually and consistently
reminding them of your business and website and providing them with useful
information on a regular basis.
2. Increase Web TrafficWhen you remind them regularly of your company and website, they're going to VISIT your site again and again. Plenty of research shows that very few people purchase on their first visit to a website. It's repetition that's key to increasing the percentage of unique visitors to your site that end up buying from you. An Email newsletter is one of the best way to ensure that repetition... and boost your overall web traffic in the process!

3. Generate Repeat Sales

Once visitors become customers (or if they've already purchased from you in the past), they're
going to keep getting all the great news and information you share in your newsletter each and
every month. Sooner or later, they WILL order again from you! In fact, many studies have shown
that the most likely people to buy from you are people who have already purchased in the past, so if you keep sending them great news, information and product announcements via your email
newsletter, those repeat sales are going to come SOONER, rather than later.

shopping cart study -if you leave me know-you take away the biggest part of me (CHICAGO)

amazed at this study on shopping cart study

In a Paypal/comScore study, 46% of online shoppers cited high shipping costs as a “very important reason” for abandoning their carts. Other reasons included wanting to comparison shop (37%), lack of money (36%), wanting to find coupons (27%), wanting to shop offline (26%), sites not offering their preferred payment choice (24%), items being unavailable at checkout (23%), unable to find customer support (22%), and security concerns (21%).

why do you leave?

Google's Caffeine Review-what is it, and how does it impact me?

Google's Caffeine is to help with indexing which helps speed up returns, and is supposed to be alot fasters.  Here are some of the changes.

• The new Google Caffeine's search results URLs are different.

• Google Caffeine seems to improve Wikipedia results.

• Some .gov websites got lower rankings for core keywords.

• Google Caffeine seems to like good site structure and/or fast loading websites for top results.• Google Caffeine does not like duplicate content

My own take is that there are infastructure changes that are going to help google compete with some of the Bing technology!

Hiring a Web Design Firm

Get Wisdom. Get Understanding!
Before hiring a Web Design and Development Firm to take on your project, we encourage you to review our online Website and Development Glossary to familiarize yourself with standard Web Terminology. Many Presidents, CEOs, COOs, Marketing Directors and Managers of companies have very little knowledge of Web Design, Web Development, Programming, Servers or Search Engines and how they work together as a whole. This is understandable. However, not having a general understanding could cause unnecessary road blocks in your project, which can be very costly. As they say “An educated consumer is a wise consumer”

Save money. Save time on your project!
Creating a general list of what you want out of your Web Design and Development project would eliminate delays and would ultimately save you money. To assist you, we have created the following list of questions to answer that will help you organize your project objective.

1. Is your Website for a new or existing company?
2. Does your company have an existing brick-and-mortar operation?
3. Does your company have an existing Web presence?
4. Do you have a logo?
5. What type of business is the website for?
6. What does your company sell?
7. What type of geographical range does your company have?
8. What type of geographical range do you want your website to have?
9. What is the overall goal of your company’s website?

Out of all of the questions above, knowing the overall goal of your company’s website is the most important. It is critical to know if your website will be used only for information, Branding, Lead Generation/Qualifying Prospects, or to generate revenue through selling products.

If you're not sure of what direction you should take, we encourage you to schedule a Two-Hour Web Guide Session with us.
